EVENTS 2026

PARTICIPATION & ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Events participation equity and accountability will be handled as follows for 2026:
    • Sign up for events that are due now (ASPCA), and then sign up for the remainder of the year once the events calendar is finalized.
    • Be accountable to your commitments. Find a trade partner when needed.

CHARITY & FUNDRAISING BRAINSTORMING

  • We have made a commitment to be more present and actively supportive in our communities and thus we will be organizing several specific charity events for the year.
  • Due to our financial estimates we anticipate that we will need an increased amount of focus on event fundraising for 2026.

EVENTS 2026

  • ASPCA Music Festival - SAT June 6th:
    • Please review your commitment on the signup file (see announcements for the link).
    • Update: They are NOT likely to have dogs to showcase during the event. If you signed up for one of those spots, please move your sign up to another volunteer need.
    • They are also needing a bit more help so if we could claim another 5 spots on the volunteer list that would be amazing!!
  • Love Forward - there will be an event in the August-September timeframe for volunteering.
  • Hope House - Connected with Shenandoah LGBTQ+ Center - They provide rapid re-housing and rental assistance to young adults who are experiencing or at risk for homelessness. Looking to work with them as the Spotlight for Autumn Jam as well as set up a volunteer day with them.
