  • Using the UCAS application platform (apply to 1 to 5 Universities) or Direct Application
  • Offers are usually Conditional based on course entry requirements
  • Courses may require ‘Prerequisite courses’ to access courses; check this before applying
  • Students will need to select from 2 of their offers 1 x Firm Acceptance/ 1 x Insurance (Backup) this normally takes place around May each year.
  • To access an offer student must meet the required grade outlined in the conditional offer
  • Students can access ‘clearing’ if they do not meet the grade in their offer
  • Application is paid for and submitted by student, but must be sent to UCAS by University and Careers Counsellor so remember - Don’t leave application until the last minute!

  • 15/16 October each year via UCAS entry at 18:00 (UK time) – any course at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, or for most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science, and dentistry.
  • End of January entry at 18:00 (UK time) – for the majority of courses.
  • Teacher Letter of Recommendation x 1 (Subject specific for the field of study)
  • Personal Statement
  • Predicted Grades – reported by University Counsellor
  • For Medicine, students need to complete BMAT / UCAT exam (may need a year preparing for the exam)
  • Some universities will require language proficiency tests depending on your chosen subjects and the course requirements. Please check if they need IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo
