Place your bucket in a location that is:
- Dry, out of direct sunlight, secured, and where the batteries are prevented from damage.
- Accessible to staff, not students (e.g. teacher’s lounge, administrative office, library circulation desk, etc.).
Battery Recycling Instructions
Keep in mind:
- This is only for AISD batteries, not batteries from home.
- Place tape on both ends of the battery.
- Use the bucket provided by AISD Central Warehouse Services for battery collection.
- Lithium batteries, rechargeable, or button batteries are not to be mixed with damaged batteries.
- Lead-acid, wet cells, or leaking batteries are not accepted.
The AISD Central Warehouse supplies white plastic buckets for recycling batteries and the orange buckets will be retired. When your bucket is full, please place an AISD 🔗Help Desk Ticket for pick up.
