CSU San Bernardino- Bachelor ’s degree in teaching and a Masters in Education with a focus on English Learners.

I have been married for 43 years! We have 3 amazing daughters and some adorable Grandogs and our sweet pup Rally.

My favorite things:I love visiting other countries, dark chocolate, a strong cup of coffee and walking Rally..

As part of our commitment to supporting student success, school sites will provide regular updates on attendance throughout the school year through:

Attendance notifications 3 times a year for all families
Monthly attendance notifications are sent for families of students who become chronically absent or are habitually truant.
Daily emails, texts, and phone calls for all unverified absences.

calling their child’s front office,
emailing their child’s front office staff or teacher, or
(NEW) completing the Etiwanda Attendance Reporting form located on our ESD app.

On the screen you’ll see our definition of hate speech. Hate speech is any form of expression meant to vilify, humiliate, or incite hatred against a group of people based on things like race, religion, sexual or gender identity, disability, or national origin.

Why is this so important? Discriminatory language can deeply affect a student’s emotional well-being and their ability to learn. Our goal is for every child to feel valued, respected, and supported so they can be successful academically and socially.

As educators, we all take responsibility for addressing harmful language and behaviors. We also work together with families to model respect and kindness for our students. We want school to be a place where students feel safe to be themselves and focus on learning.

If a parent becomes heated or off topic: I hear that you feel strongly about this, and I want to make sure your concern is addressed fully. Because tonight is focused on sharing information about our classroom and school, I’d like to connect with you or have an administrator follow up after this meeting. But at this point, for the sake of time, we need to move on.
