Elementary Usernames

Usernames include the first letter of a student’s first name, the first letter of student’s middle name, and their whole last name. Most students have 01 at the end of their names, unless there is another student with the same sequence of letters and then they would be 02. For example: fmlast01

When K-5 students are prompted to enter their email (even though they don’t have district emails), they should enter fmlast01@bvsd.org

Elementary Passwords

K-5 Students- IT changes all K-4 passwords to a password standard twice a year: on the first Friday in August and the first Friday in February. K-4 students do not need to enroll in or use Password Manager.

5th Grade Students- 5th graders will need to enroll in and use Password Manager 180 days after beginning 5th grade. Normally this process happens at school.

K-5 Password Schedule and Pattern (as of August 2020)

  • Password standard for grades K-1: 123456.c (123456 = 6-digit student ID).
  • Password standard for grades 2-4: bvsd123456.c (123456 = 6-digit student ID).
  • Password standard for 5th graders: bvsd123456.c(123456 = 6-digit student ID). 5th graders will use Password Manager to change their password every 180 days

Next password change: February 3, 2023: password will change from “a” to “b”
