How to Join AMWA

AMWA 2021-2022 Membership will close tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1st (3/1)! Join now!

1. Pay the dues for the semester - $25 - we accept cash and Venmo (@amwautd) - this covers the entire year
• Membership perks include ability to attend workshops, socials, & volunteer events
2. Attend at least 2 professional events (includes GBM’s), 1 social, and 1 fundraising/volunteering event
• Check your progress on the activity tracker → only those who paid dues are on the activity tracker!
3. Follow our social media accounts @amwautd and join the Remind101 and GroupMe for reminders about upcoming events! (links at the end of the meeting)

Why is it important to complete membership requirements?

The more involved and dedicated you are to our UTD chapter events and programs, the better your chances are for leadership positions. Officer applications for next school year are coming out soon 👀

If you do not fulfill requirements one semester, you cannot claim full AMWA UTD membership for that semester on your grad school applications. They do call/email us and check!

Interested in Being an Officer?

• Who is eligible to apply? All members who have completed all of their membership requirements and are NOT on probation are eligible to apply.
• Why should you apply? Being an AMWA officer is a great leadership opportunity and a chance for you to meet and lead an organization of like-minded people!
• What positions are available? Secretary, Historian, Treasurer, Events Coordinators’
• We are so excited for you to apply if you are interested, if you have any questions about the process or concerns on if you would be a good fit, feel free to talk to any of the officers!
