  • Vape pen devices heat a liquid until it becomes vapor and is inhaled.

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol): the product that produces the “high” feeling and also interacts with your brain.

NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS OF MARIJUANA USE

Increased risk of mental health issues

  • Marijuna use linked to depression, anxiety, psychosis, and increased risk of schizophrenia.

Potential for addiction

  • Approximately 3 in 10 people who use marijuana develop an addiction. This increases when use starts in adolescence.

Any substance use can lead to addiction. Addiction: when a person cannot stop using even though it impacts  several aspects of a person's life.
