In the spirit of reconciliation, we want to acknowledge High River and area as a traditional ‘gathering place, travel route, and meeting grounds’ for the territories of the: Îyârhe Nakoda First Nations comprised of the Chinikay, Bearspaw, Goodstoney nations, the Tsuut’ina nation, the Siksikaitsitapi comprised of the Amskapi Piikani, Siksika, Kainai, Piikani nations, and the Métis People.

Spanning generations, acknowledgement of the land is a traditional custom of Indigenous peoples and an important part of reconciliation.

It gives voice to the authentic history of the land and its original peoples.

Honouring the land in this way acknowledges the story of the creation of this country in a way that has historically been suppressed.

Welcome to

Senator,

No Idea! But I know where your shirt, hat, water bottle, binder, gym strip and shoes might be……

All that stuff is in the LOST AND FOUND! Still do not know where that is? The doors leading to the staff parking lot beside the GYM is the spot! So you can easily take what you lost on your way home! But more importantly do what no pants guy says…

AND YOUR STUFF IN YOUR LOCKER!

Answer:

Kelvin, Quin, Drake, Parker, Bella

For each set of 3-letter words place three 3-letter words so that they suffix the first word and prefix the second word. Reading downwards a 9-letter word is revealed.

Example:

BOX CAR ROT TOW – – – ROW HIT – – – AGE

HAM PEN PAL SAP – – – USE TAR – – – OFF

PAN TRY OUT SEA – – – NET LAY – – – PUT

  • If you come back during the lunch eating time, you need to come inside to one of the grade 8 homerooms. You can bring snacks from your walk to finish during this time.
  • If you choose to return during activity time, please go immediately to the back field. Do not hang out at the front of the school.

48 of 57

Grade 8s: Remember to be thoughtful about what you are purchasing during your OFF CAMPUS TIME. You are being trusted to make good choices.

Will you be able to finish eating or drinking your items during Activity Time and Lunch?

Should you be purchasing a 2 Litre bottle of pop to drink? Yikes! Not a good plan!

Are you purchasing food that might make you feel sluggish for the rest of your learning time at school?
