Forty Hampton High students enjoyed free tickets to the February 24th performance by the Fly Dance Company at The American Theatre. At the end of the performance, the artists came out to the lobby to meet and greet the students!
A special Thank You to Ms Estrada, Ms Maneng and Ms Whytus for volunteering to chaperone and Ms. Brown for earning an amazing grant to support the arts!
Congratulations to the Odyssey of the Mind team (Jhane Robinson, Monica Nguyen, Maia Griffith, Aniyah Jackson and Haley Roberts) and Coach Brown for winning 3rd place during this weekend's Regional Competition at Menchville. Way to go Creative Crabbers!
The Hampton High School CHROME club, under the leadership of Sponsor Cynthia Smith, competed in the ODU Engineering open house and Engineering Competition.
HHS students earned 4 awards: Tiffany Leang earned 1st Place for the Span Bridge competition. Michael Morgan and Tiffany Leang earned 1st Place for "What can I do ". Mohamed Ramazani earned a 2nd Place and Daj'nai Jackson earned a 3rd place.
Ms. Roxanne Brown earned a $1000 Hampton Commission grant. The grant is paying for multiple theater experiences for students. Art students were able to attend the American Theatre for The Jones Family Singers. The students had the fortunate experience of meeting the Jones Family Singers after the performance!
Hampton High's CHROME club, under Coach Smith’s leadership, attended the Megagenesis College and Career Fair with HCS Superintendent, Dr. Smith.
