What is MAP Growth?
MAP Growth is a computer adaptive test created by NWEA that kids take two to three times per school year. The results provide teachers with information to help them deliver appropriate content for each student and determine each student’s academic growth over time. This type of assessment challenges top performers without overwhelming students whose skills are below grade level.
What does it mean to be computer adaptive?
What is a RIT score?
Map scores are reported using RIT scores.
Can MAP Growth tell me if my student is working at grade level?
MAP Growth uses a RIT scale to accurately measure what students know, regardless of their grade level. It also measures growth over time, allowing you to track your child’s progress throughout the school year and across multiple years. Once your child completes a MAP Growth test, they receive a RIT score.
