SY 2019-2020, 2020-2021

  • Fall 2019 state and local assessments were administered
  • Spring 2020 state and local assessments were not administered due to the COVID- 19 pandemic
  • School was conducted as “all virtual” through BTSD Distance Learning between mid-March and late June 2020

  • Fall 2020 state and local assessments were not administered.
  • School was conducted as “all virtual” through BTSD Distance Learning between September and mid-October 2021 for all students
  • School opened as “hybrid” on a shortened in person day between mid October and June 2021 (with some moves back to all virtual as needed) for students and families who selected this option. Many students remained “all virtual” throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
  • Spring 2021 state assessments were not administered due to the COVID- 19 pandemic
  • Spring 2021 local state assessments were administered in modified formats to some students, but fidelity of administration varied due to students’ varied settings.

  • Kindergarten
    • 63% of 207 students assessed scored at or above grade level for letter naming fluency (letters) (up from 32% in fall)
    • 27% of 207 students assessed scored at or above grade level for phoneme segmentation fluency (sounds) (up from 24% in fall)
  • Grade 1
    • 47% of 208 students assessed scored at or above grade level for nonsense word fluency (correct letter sounds) (up from 31% in fall)
    • 47% of 208 students assessed scored at or above grade level for nonsense word fluency (words read correctly) (up from 28% in fall)

    • 60% of 253 students assessed scored at or above grade level for oral reading fluency (up from 49% in fall)
