The project is increasing the IT skilled workforce in Nevada by training students in the latest Cloud technologies from AWS and Microsoft Azure to meet local employer demand for skilled technicians.

There is now a Cloud Systems Administration AAS

and Certification of Achievement -30 credits

Improvements for Cloud Computing Summer Bootcamp

1. Get students more time with IT recruiters – per their request in the survey

2. Push harder to get industry partners from advisory committee to attend the AWS JAM event

3. Less lecture-style content delivery and more lab projects & group case studies

4. Create hard deadline for students to take the AWS exam within 4 weeks of camp conclusion

5. Allow more time for students to take the evaluation survey and review survey questions with them
