How are lockers assigned? What do I do if I have problems with my locker?

They are randomly assigned. We just started this last year, and it has been beneficial in helping students get to know students in other grades. The front office can help you with all things related to your locker.

How long is each class period?

We have three schedules each week. Classes range from 34-50 minutes each.

Will there be people around to help us find our classes?

Yes! Teachers, counselors, principals, and other staff members are in the hallways between classes to help with these types of situations.

How much homework will I have?

It depends on the class and night. We do try to keep it manageable, and we offer Jurassic period twice a week to help.

FAQs

What languages are available, and when can we start a language class?

We offer Spanish starting in 8th Grade. If you are fluent in Spanish as an incoming 7th Grader and want to take Spanish, please contact your school counselor for more information.

Will 7th Graders have classes with 8th and 9th Graders?

7th Graders may have Art, Theater, Band, Orchestra, or Choir with 8th and 9th Graders. All other classes are 7th Grade only.

What do I do if I get picked on?

Immediately let an adult know. From there, our principals look into how they can resolve the issue.

Can we use our own instruments, or do we have to use school instruments?

You are welcome to use your own instruments. The school has some you can rent if you don’t have your own.
