I am going to keep my learning time with you simple. I am also asking you to think
about current events. What is happening in our world will eventually become history,
right? So, we need to stay aware. Almost every week, I will post an editorial cartoon about
a current event for you to evaluate. I will post a form on a slide to
guide your thoughts.

7th grade Social Studies lesson topic/focus | A brief look at the Civil War this week. The only time in our nation’s history we fought each other. Over 600,000 lives were lost. The North fought the South trying to hold the nation together under the leadership of Abraham Lincoln. ⭐SPOILER ALERT: The North wins!!!!! | The Civil War lasted 4 years from 1861-1864 The North & South were 2 different countries with their own leadership, capitals, and flags. Today, let’s separate the differences between the sides using a T-chart, Title one column NORTH and the other SOUTH.
