Kindness and empathy
What does it mean to be kind?
What is an act of kindness?
How do you feel when someone is kind to you?
When you are Kind,
you are spreading God’s love!
Your Light is bright!
When
you are unkind
or making bad choices…
Your light becomes dimmer.
Jesus always showed his love through kindness! Add to the the document what you have done. All St John Religious Ed students will work to create a list showing differents ways to show kindness! Share your way here!
Kindness Matters!
THINK…
Let’s figure out if the following is “kind” or “unkind”?
Give a thumbs up or thumbs down.
When school is back, invite someone to your lunch table.
Help your parents set the table for dinner.
Your friend trips on their show lace and you laugh.
Read a story to your younger sibling.
A new neighbor asks to play tag with you and you say “no”.
Your grandparent sings the wrong words to your favorite song and you laugh.
We can make our lights brighter by telling our bad choices to God!
A Priest can act as God.
During the Sacrament of Reconciliation...
you tell your bad choices to a priest.
When you are sorry, your light gets bright again!
This is one of the Sacraments you will receive next year.
There is another Sacrament you will be receiving next year.

The Host
Eucharist
These all mean the same thing!
