Math | The students will have their final assessment on Unit 1 on Tuesday. We will begin Unit 2, Using Data to Solve Problems. This is an engaging unit for the students where they can utilize addition and subtraction skills to solve problems. |
ELA | We will continue to work in Unit 2 - Overcoming Learning Challenges Near and Far. Students have completed several close reads on different countries and are beginning the writing process for an informative paragraph. We continue to work on skills such as determining the meaning of unknown words and located the main idea and details. |
Science | Students will continue to learn about the skeletal system this week. Students will be completing a performance assessment this week as they build a paper skeleton and label many of the bones. We have learned the functions of the skeletal system and will explore these functions in more detail. |

We are continuing to work on multiplication facts. Please work with your child at home to practice their multiplication facts. We have completed multiplying by 1’s, 2’s and 5’s. This week we are focusing on multiplying by 10’s.
