Our Approach

After looking at the challenge, our group immediately thought of the same thing to create: a video game. We all are gamers and we thought that having an interactive experience would allow a much more engaging and fun time with the topic instead of just scrolling through a site like Wikipedia.

Telescope Simulator

This is a short game which have you act as a scientist running the Hubble and later the James Webb Space Telescope. You have the ability to check the (fictional) coordinates and take pictures of these spatial bodies. As more pictures are taken, you are then granted the use of the James Webb Space Telescope for even better photos of the same area.

Moving Forward

With our different schedules, time zones, and the lack of experience, we were not able to complete a lot of the ideas made in our plans. However, with more time to do this, we can add the options of more telescopes to compare to. We could also create an album where the player can flip through the pages and allowing the players to directly put and compare the same images from different telescopes.
