This goes into the team account to fund events such as our end-of-year banquet & awards, as well as items that receive majority vote from all members like arena rental for practices, food at team meetings, Christmas parties, etc.

Individual Sponsorships are not required, however they are a great way to help you with your personal rodeo expenses such as NTHSRA entry fees, and other equine/rodeo related costs. You may solicit and receive these individual sponsorship donations from friends, family, and/or local businesses. You can also choose to add sponsor logos on your Rodeo shirts, horse trailer, truck, etc to help promote your sponsors. It is recommended to have an individual poster made that lists your individual sponsors for distribution at the sponsors office or place of business. These funds go directly to individual team members, and do not go into the team account.

  1. Annual NTHSRA Team Fee: each team that competes within the NTHSRA is required to pay an annual $50 team fee. This will be paid to NTHSRA by our Team Parent Sponsor.

  • Team Parent Sponsor Fees: every Rodeo Team must have a team parent sponsor. Our 2026-2027 Team Sponsor is Jason McMaster (voted in at the end of last season). NTHSRA requires the Team Parent Sponsor to pay a $50 Application Fee and a $50 Criminal background check to NTHSRA.

  • Rodeo Entry Fees: Rodeo events are $50 each per rodeo, plus an office/award fee of $15 per member per rodeo. For example, if you enter 2 events it would be: ($50 x 2)+$15 =$115.

  • NTHSRA Gate Fee: for family/friends/NTHSRA spectators is usually $8 entry fee each and is paid in cash at the Saginaw gate. Run-Sheets can also be purchased at the gate for $1 each and also paid in cash (highly recommended).

  • Refunds (MTO/VTO):

  • Run Sheet: purchase when you arrive at the NTHSRA gates for $3. The money goes towards the hosting rodeo team and helps them with costs associated with that weekend’s events.

  • IMPORTANT: The first thing each competitor should do when they arrive at the Rodeo is to check the draw sheet posted inside by the NTHSRA Secretary’s office, to see if your name is highlighted in yellow. If your name is highlighted in yellow, you need to see the Secretary immediately to resolve any questions/issues/fines. The Secretary will provide you with proof of clearing the issue, and you’ll give this to the rodeo official in the arena before you will be allowed to compete. The rodeo official will not know if you have been cleared until you tell him.

  • NTHSRA Members Dress Code: button-up rodeo shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, belt, cowboy hat/helmet, and back number. Failure to be wearing these items may result in a fine as well as cowboy hats flying off in the arena.

  • Back Number: will be distributed in the indoor area by the secretary’s office once you have submitted all paperwork. Do not lose it, as it must worn at all times on NTHSRA premises and each time you compete. You won’t be able to compete without it. And do not borrow/lend it to others as this will result in expulsion from NTHSRA. Jackets and vests can be worn, but your number needs to be on the outside, or you will be fined.
  • Coggins: if you are hauling a horse, you will be required to show a negative coggins at the gate at every rodeo. Paper copy or electronic is fine. Again, do not lend/borrow your horses coggins to others.
