Defining the Core Issue

Key Challenges in a Crisis

Confusion

Unreliable Information

Disconnected Communities

Disasters create overwhelming uncertainty, leaving people unsure of immediate risks, where to go, or the safest actions to take for their specific situation.

Rumors, outdated news, and misinformation spread rapidly during emergencies, making it incredibly difficult to find trustworthy and actionable guidance when it's needed most.

Communication failures often isolate individuals from their support networks and vital local updates, hindering the community's ability to coordinate aid and support each other effectively.

Future

What does SafetyNet have planned?

15 of 20

Offline

SafetyNet is going to become an offline app. As during disasters, power and cellular data is limited, it would be a beneficial factor if the app were offline.

16 of 20

Multilingual

SafetyNet will become multilingual – if available in different languages, our “speed” factor will increase, as people all across the world will be involved and able to be helped.

17 of 20

Public Health

At SafetyNet, we strive to help our customers with their needs when it comes to personal health as well! Our "Pandemics" feature in our checklist is the first step to this goal.
