What do SMART Goals look like?
SCRIPT
Ex 1: Within the next 3 months, survey current teacher workforce to identify any CS instruction or curricula currently being used in classrooms, and analyze gaps in access to CS across LEA.
S- survey teachers & analyze survey results
M- goal achieved if both survey administered & gap analysis completed within 3 months
A- up to LEA team to assess given available resources
R- result = identification of gaps in access
T- within 3 months

Breakout Rooms: ICEBREAKER: Secret Egg Riddle
Before we get into big picture planning, let’s try out a quick “Unplugged” Computational thinking activity
In a pile of 24 identical eggs, there is only one egg which contains a mythical creature and thus weighs 0.5 gram less than all other stone eggs. Each other stone egg weighs the same. With just one weighing machine, what is the minimum number of weighings required to find out your own mythical creature? (Assume that you can weigh only one group of eggs at a time).
ICEBREAKER: Secret Egg Riddle
Congratulations, parent of a new species
Let’s share:
How many weighings did it take?
Describe how you solved the problem
Could you name this “strategy”?
