The story of how Jesus was able to heal a man with leprosy.
Jesus’ Compassion
During Jesus’ time, ill people were considered sinners. Their illnesses were thought to be a punishment for their sins. Jesus however, showed compassion to the ill.
Healing
One day, a man with leprosy came up to Jesus. He begged and said “If you choose, you can make me clean”.
Jesus was moved with pity for the man. At once, he touched the man, and he was healed.
After Healing
Jesus told the man to be humble, and only show the priests his healing as a symbol of God’s miracles.
The man did not listen, and told everyone who could hear. As a result, Jesus had to stay out of the town.

What does this story mean?
In this story, Jesus gave the man a second chance. Even when the man didn’t follow what Jesus said, Jesus didn’t make him ill again. He forgave him instead, and took on the burden of avoiding that town.
Symbolism
The man shows how lukewarm christians often act. They only praise God when they want something in return. They continue to disobey God.
Jesus shows God’s kindness. No matter how sinful we are, he will always forgive us. He takes on our burdens and waits for us to come back to him.

How can we apply this story to our daily lives?

So how can we become better Christians, and learn to be grateful for the miracles God gives us?
Solutions
Prayer is the BEST way to show your gratitude to God. You are talking one on one to your father. During your prayers, remember to let EVERYTHING out. Don’t hold back, and God’s miracles won’t hold back either.
Think positive. If you start to see the good in things, rather than the bad, it becomes easier to be grateful for even small things!

Being kind to others is a good way to show your gratitude to God. You are taking what he has given you, and using it for good causes. This helps you to understand God’s kindness as well.

Prayer
Wonderful Father, we thank You for Your presence in our lives. Thank You for the miracles, signs and wonders that You have manifested in the lives of Your children in the Body of Christ. Lord, we thank You for salvation, the greatest miracle of all. In Jesus name I pray,
