Here is a glimpse of the day to day tasks that occur in the admissions office. Communication plays a major role because our primary goal is to reach students and get them to apply and enroll. There is a lot of information they need to know along the way. The most prominent communication in this office is the email campaign for prospective students. At any given time, a targeted email is sent to certain groups of students telling them their next steps. We also use phone scripts to call students and use texting and a live chat feature--all of which rely on clear and concise communication. The admissions office prepares physical materials as well: acceptance letters, postcards, flyers, and more. We also organize events--which requires a lot of communication among several departments and the outside community.
