ACTIVATE ALF NETWORK
Senior Fellows support our ALF Chapter and carry the cornerstones into the community and their spheres of influence.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRENGTH
Policies and processes are clear, current, and robust.
STRONG COMMUNICATION
Board, Senior Fellows network, Fellows, and staff have timely, accurate, and accessible information about the chapter, our efforts and opportunities for support.
VALUE EQUITY
Establish and institute an equity lens for planning, policy and actions.
FINANCIAL STABILITY�Ensure a robust funding stream with growth.
- Understand the current fundraising landscape
- Develop multi-year budget model with active reserve targets
- Activate grant research
- Develop estate planned giving (ID target)
- Increase Senior Fellows giving by x% (as measured by total $ and by number of Senior Fellows giving)
- Develop plan for multi-year pledges
- Use 30th Anniversary as fundraising opportunity
- Evaluate fiscal year dates – move to Jan. to Dec.
- Review and update policies and bylaws
- Create online board policy manual
- Assess staff and board capacity, care, retention, and succession planning

- Review and understand ALF National Strategic Plan goals and priorities

- Robust and varied opportunities for Senior Fellows to interact and grow. (Incl. connection with Fellows).
- Intentional engagement of Fundraising Champions and Communications Agents within classes.
- Use Senior Fellows network to activate ALF impact
- Consistent Senior Fellows programming review
- Provide regular communication to Senior Fellows about committee plans and activities.
- Implement 2023 Communications Plan.
- Develop 30th Anniversary communications plan
- Prioritize new communication strategy utilizing multiple platforms (including print/mail/segmentation of audiences.
- ALF Connect Launch
- Create promo videos
- Hire Senior Fellows with storytelling expertise to collect impact stories
- Ensure accessibility needs are met in all ALF meetings and communications
- Develop and adopt an equity assessment process for internal and external policies and processes.
- Evaluate plans and actions of board, staff, and committees for equity scotomas.
- Modify planning and actions as needed to support equitable access and outcomes.
- Research and study alternative models for recruitment/ nomination.
- Develop recommendations to support diversity and strategic composition of pool.
- Develop and activate SF nomination recruitment plans and strategies.
- Develop and activate recruitment plan for outskirts of Pierce County and conservative voices.

NEXT STEPS:
- Each committee chair will review the plan with their committee members in February and March.
- The Committee’s will determine action steps and timelines for completion in April and May.
