  1. It’s free.
  2. Web-based (ie. will never lose it, can access from any device, works on all devices)
  3. Very user-friendly and easy to use
  4. Can create a video in minutes
  5. Can record voice
  6. Many different themes and music to choose from
  7. Can change theme mid-way through project
  8. Can edit project at a later date
  9. Can import CC images directly from within website and images will automatically be credited at the end.
  10. Can share video/embed from Adobe website or download and then upload to YouTube.

  1. Go to spark.adobe.com/about/video (on iPad, download app)
  2. Click on “Start now for free” or “Get started now”
  3. Log in with Google
  4. Fill out all info, accept permissions.
  5. “What would you like to create”? Scroll to the bottom, tap

“Create a video”

  • “Every story starts somewhere”: Give a title to your video > Next
  • “Start from scratch”.

10. Watch the tutorial. Check off “Don’t show this video again”

11. After the video, tap “Okay, I’m ready”.

12. Notice the options on the top right hand corner

13. Take a look at some of the themes. Remember, you can always change the theme later. Each theme comes with its own music, but you can change the music.

14. Now tap “Music”. Tap on the arrow to listen to each song. If you like it, tap on the song title. You can always change the song later.

15. Now tap “Layout”

16. You can change the layout of each slide. For the first slide, I recommend “Fullscreen”

17. Tap the + sign on the left

and tap Photo.

18. On the right you can find images from many places. Try “Find photos”. This is an amazing feature because it allows students to browse CC (Creative Common) images.

19. Choose a photo and it will appear on your slide.

20. Now click the + sign on middle of the slide and tap “T” for text and type your title. To add another line, click “Enter/Return”.

21. Now tap and hold the microphone icon to record your voice. (Give all permissions)

22. Tap the arrow to listen to your recording

23. If you don’t like it, tap the microphone and record your voice again.

24. Tap the + sign below to add another slide.

25. Experiment with the different layouts.

28. If you want to preview your video from time to time, tap “Preview” at the top.

29. When you are finished your video, tap “Share” or “Download”

30. Tap “Share” to get online link. Under “Pick a category”, choose “Education”

31. Tap “Create link”.

It will take a few minutes to generate a video.
