7. Secure Link

Use https://docs.google.com instead of http://docs.google.com. The extra 's' means 'secure'; all traffic is encrypted. The only down-side is it's a little bit slower.

  • Magic Fill - pulls from Google Sets, highlight cells, hold down Ctrl (windows) or Option (mac) and drag down

  • Settings - make sure to edit locale and time zone for time stamp
  • Google search inside a spreadsheet. For words/phrases that are unfamiliar, just highlight it, right click and choose "Search the Web." The results will open in a new browser window

  • Autosave for spreadsheets and forms
