Strategic Planning

How did we get here?

Through reflection, feedback, and the GLR Strategic Planning process, the GLR recognizes the structure of the organization, including systems, policies, leadership that the organization’s, standards, and bylaws that uphold and promote systems of oppression and privilege.

5 of 38

Long Term Objective: Review all GLR policies and procedures to increase inclusivity within the GLR and to remove systems of oppression.

In order for the GLR to move forward as a fully inclusive, anti-racist, multicultural organization and in order to bring our new GLR Mission, Vision and Core Values to life, the following was written in the GLR Strategic Plan

  • The GLR Leadership will create an election ad hoc committee, chaired by the GLR Past President to identify and develop action steps towards creating inclusive, accessible, and non-oppressive election systems that will cultivate an increase in diversity of the GLR Leadership team by October 2023.

  • The Election ad hoc committee will present their recommendations to the GLR Executive Committee in January 2024 in preparation for the GLR 2024 Elections.
