Ensuring decision-makers understand the significance of participating in the UN HLM on TB and contributing to the refinement of the Political Declaration on TB

Facilitate participation of CSO and community representatives in UN HLM on TB and related activities

Advocate for the inclusion of CSO and community representatives in the national delegation to the UN HLM on TB

Increased involvement of a wide range of CSO representatives, communities and other stakeholders

Advocacy for people with TB: highlight problems and seek their visibility/commitments to address them, provide up-to-date information to delegation members, promote community key asks

Accountability of governments: monitor the implementation of commitments made by the state

Multi-sectoral national delegation: fully complies with the recommendations of the President of the General Assembly

Inclusion in preparing political statements: take into account the interests and needs of different population groups in different areas, fight stigma

Promote innovation: bring new ideas and innovative approaches to fight TB, propose scaling up the best practices

UN HLM Political Declaration on TB 2023: analysis of opportunities for CSOs and TB-affected communities engagement in the document implementation and recommendations on application of relevant advocacy tools�
