Factors associated with US women’s health status

We assume that the following factors associated with women’s health status:
HYPOTHESES
We used the Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) US data to answer the research questions. The purpose of PIAAC is “to assess and compare the basic skills and the broad range of competencies of adults around the world” (NCES, n.d.). PIAAC study also collect participants extended background information, including their health related information.
CONCLUSIONS
The results of this project show
Women with better health have significantly better literacy, numeracy, and problem solving skills in technology rich environments. They also use significantly more information and communication technology at home and at work. They rely more on health care professionals and the internet to seek health information.
The results suggest
If policy makers or health care professionals would like to use modern health information to improve women’s health, they may want to make sure women have appropriate skills to make good use of modern health information and have appropriate channels for seeking health information.
