Your house is located in village Permai which is a nice rural area located in Bayu District. Your place is around 12 km from City Ceria and had a nice beach nearby.

At 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning you receive wasap notification that your community has been placed under a flood watch for the next 48 hours, with the expectation of receiving an additional 12 inches of rain. You call your neighbour who is a JPKK and he confirmed the situation.

Inject #2 : 7.30 am

On the way to the office, you noted that the sky become darker. You immediately report on duty and go to operation room as you work as the watch staff today. You start opened the metreology department website and noted that the rain is going to fall heavily above normal until night.

Inject #3: 8.40 am

When you are observing the situation, you saw on the news: Metrology department reporting that hurricane is coming towards your area.

Outside, the rainfall is falling down heavily and the wind become stronger.

Inject # 4

As of 9.00 pm. That night, your area has received 9 inches of rain from the hurricane. The District Officer had informed 3 Evacuation Centre (PPS) were opened in your district to cater all the hurricane victims – some need to be rescue due to flood and loss of electricity as Power is out throughout most of the district and has been out for roughly 12 hours.

Generators at water treatment plants are beginning to run out of fuel and stop functioning. Storm water and wastewater releases are occurring in the area at significant rates.

As the time passing by, more victims were brought to the evacuation centre at SK Bukit Tinggi which situated at a safe area from the flood. They manage to sustained the generator for electricity supply and the food were supplied by caterer appointed by the Welfare Department.

On Thursday at 10.00 am, the medical team informed the operation room that there is 5 patients developed acute high grade fever with cough. All were well yesterday.

On Friday, the rain has subsided and standing water is starting to recede. Residents and businesses are asking whether they should use private drinking water wells, and when the drinking water utility’s systems will be operational.
