Judges may deduct for:

  • Dirty seatbelts
  • Dirt & grease in belt latches, hinges, and seat rails
  • Paint or finish flaws on seat hinges
  • Dirt & debris in seat upholstery folds

  • Dirt & dust inside covers over seat belt reels
  • Flaws & stains in seat upholstery

(except age-appropriate wear)

*Check cars in division 911’s have rear seats like 4 door models so can be judged similarly (boxster, cayman, 914 no)

  • Headliner stains, dirt and tears
  • Dirt around door handles and window cranks
  • Flaws or stains on door and side panels
  • Sun Visor dirt, dust, or defects

  • Dirt, stains, and lint on carpets
  • Dirt & lint on surface under carpets (remember that this area was not intended by the factory to be a finished surface up to the standards of painted surfaces elsewhere on the car)
  • Dirt & grime on the piping around carpet edges

*you must decide how you will handle the under carpet area based on the cars in the division. It should be prepared, but be CONSISTENT.

*Check cars in division: 911’s, 4doors and boxsters all have carpet in rear areas so be consistant (914, cayman no)

  • Smudges on instrument glass
  • Dirt or other on cigarette lighter heating element & or in ashtray
  • Dirt or dust on all pedals & linkage & back surfaces of all pedals
  • Dirt, dust, flaws on center console if present
  • Dirt or flaws on shift tower, handbrake or console or floor mounted controls & boots
  • Dust around steering column
  • Dirt & dust around turn signal, wiper switches
  • Dirt & dust in & around air vents under dash

  • Smudges on interior surfaces of windows

(verify marks are on interior surface)

  • Smudges on interior mirror surfaces (check vanity mirrors)
  • Lint on window frame liners
  • Interior of storage glass is your area (hatchback)

YOU CAN ASK OWNER TO OPEN STORAGE HATCH TO SEE INTERIOR OF GLASS ESPECIALLY FOR 4 DOOR CARS THAT YOU CANNOT SEE FROM THE FRONT
