  • The competition in 2024 will take place on the outdoor climbing wall of the Koper Climbing Center. The climbing center is located in the city itself, next to the Bonifika sports stadium.
  • Each country may enter a maximum of 30 athletes (5 per gender M/W and discipline – Boulder, Lead, Speed) and 5 officials, including medical delegates. (Participant Conditions)
  • John and Madeleine will be the 2 USA Climbing Officials attending in support of the team.

The current schedule is as follows:

  • September 7 6- Arrival of Staff*
  • September 8- Opening Ceremony
  • September 9- Boulder Qualifications
  • September 10- Boulder Semi-Finals, Speed Practice & Qualifications, Boulder Finals (medal ceremony)
  • September 11- Lead Qualifications, Speed Finals (medal ceremony)
  • September 12- Lead Semi-Finals, Lead Finals (medal ceremony), Closing Ceremony
  • September 13- Departures

*Athletes who arrive earlier will be on their own for accommodations and transportation

Additional Information

ADDITION DISCIPLINE

  • No additional charge

VISA

  • Tourist visa not required for stays under 90 days within each 180-day period (travel.state.gov).

DRUG TESTING

  • Random drug testing may be done on the athletes. All athletes that win a medal will be tested. The tests are done by WADA and all athletes are required to adhere to anti-doping rules and regulations.

ATHLETE AGREEMENT FORM

  • USA Climbing will send an athlete agreement form to to each registered competitor. These must be completed shortly after distribution.
