Project Background

Resiliency (according to the American Psychological Association):

Resilience is the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.

How does Resiliency relate to our libraries?

Challenges

Different Proxy Servers at each university
Different ILS/LibGuides
Technical issues with LibGuides
Librarians at each campus, varying scales to libraries with different roles who deal with student mental health: Social Sciences, Student Success, Psychology

Conclusion

This is an ongoing project - we are continuing to add more resources (by purchase and through NC Live) and create LibGuides about resiliency!

Our goal is for UNC System libraries to have at least one LibGuide available to students by Fall 2024
