• Completed 66 licensing actions during FY23, these include initial applications, amendments, revalidations, and renewals
• Public Engagement: 20 public meetings
• 57 inspections in FY23:  8 quality assurance program [transportation (Part 71)], 49 independent fuel storage installations (ISFSIs) [5 Certificate of Compliance holder inspections and 44 licensee inspections]
• Advance Tribal Notification of Category 1 Quantities of Radioactive Material Shipments
• Submitted by TRMTC
• Comment period closed May 22, 2024
• Final rule to EDO in spring 2025

Transportable Microreactors

• NRC regulatory framework in 10 CFR Part 71 allows for the review of advanced reactor fuel transportation or transportable microreactors
• Microreactor shipment for use as:
• Power to remote areas
• Disaster relief
• Floating reactors for offshore support
• Space applications
• Ongoing pre-application interactions with potential applicants
