• Christmas is my favourite holiday. On Christmas Eve, my family gathers together to share a meal. Every year, my mother prepares 12 Lenten dishes. There are such dishes as kutia, uzvar, donuts, fish dishes, dumpling with potato, cherries, cabbage, pickled herring. I like pickled herring and dumpling with potato. Also I like to eat donuts and drink uzvar. After dinner we go carolling.

• In the photo you can see my mom, dad and my sister. Unfortunately I am not in the photo. We were celebrating dad's birthday. It was on the fifth of February in a restaurant. There was a lot of food on the table. l liked baked potatoes and salad the most. It was fun. I loved the holiday as well as the food .

• In this photo we are with our family at a festive Christmas dinner table. We put 12 dishes on it. We tasted every dish. I liked varenyky with cabbage and donuts the most. There was a lot of salad. We had also fish, cabbage and varenyky with potatoes.

• This is my family: my mother Aliona, my dad Mykhailo, my younger brother Sasha and me. I really enjoy spending time with my family at the dinner table. We eat sweets and drink tea. We often smile and talk. What I like most is that we spend time together. It is because spending time with family is the best thing that can happen. After dinner, my younger brother and I go to bed. At night, dad tells us very interesting tales.

• When there is a big holiday like Christmas, we have chicken, potatoes and many different salads on the table. Before the New Year comes, my mother prepares food. At eight o'clock in the evening we sit down at the table. As for drinks, we have compote and Coca Cola. On the New Year's table, we have many fruits: grapes, tangerines, bananas, apples and sometimes pears. We also have stuffed tomatoes, holubtsi, champagne and varenyky.
• We always listen to the New Year's greetings from the President for the whole country.

• This is my table for Christmas Eve. The following dishes are on it: pigeon dumplings, dumplings with cabbage, mushroom gravy, fried potatoes, fruit, kutya, uzvar, salad and kalachi. There is also a candle to pray. There was a lot of food on the table.
• My dad always puts hay and money on this holiday. On this day, grandparents came to us to celebrate in the family circle.
• I love this festive evening because we have the opportunity to meet in the family circle to communicate and carol.
