What’s new this year 2025-2026?

  • Students are encouraged to do a project and not only service experiences
  • All students involved in project will earn credit as a service project
  • Only Years 9 and 10 need to complete exit interviews
  • Proposals are only for projects - not service experiences

What is the difference between a project and an experience?

Project:

Students create a new service project that did not previously exist

Students can work individually or a group - maximum of 5 in a group

Ex - Creating hygiene packages to educate and raise awareness for young children in an orphanage

Ex - Educating the children of GoJek drivers

Ex - Editor of the Hawkers

Experience:

Joining a pre existing service opportunity such as Open Day Usher

Or

Joining WWW activities and completing a reflection

Or

Joining Friends of the Library, helping SSS activity, or participating in GJS TV
