    • Admissions requirements at colleges often exceed graduation requirements!

Core academics:

    • 5 core subjects: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language

    • All IL public universities must accept a 3 or higher for college credit

College level coursework. Students have the option to take an exam at the end of the course to receive college credit.

An award given to high school graduates that appears as a seal on their diploma and is included on the official transcript to certify that the student is biliterate in English and one or more languages

    • Can be earned multiple ways
    • All IL public colleges must award credit for the Seal of Biliteracy

Not all colleges accept early credit. Be sure to check with each institution you are considering!
