Smart work zones allow us to use a variety of intelligent technologies
so we can better monitor roadway conditions and
communicate those conditions to drivers

What is Smart Work Zone?
Agencies uses intelligent transportation system technologies including:
Traffic Sensors (RSVD, RSU)
Digital Signage (Portable or static DMS)
CCTV cameras
These are tied in-to the agency’s Traffic and Incident Management System
Detect roadway conditions and communicate to motorists.
