  • Badlands originated from Lakota people who said it was a band land to pass through.
  • During WWll some part was taken for artillery testing US military still owns 2,500 acres.
  • The Badlands were once under water forming these landforms.
  • Home to Bison, Prairie dogs and snakes.
  • Many sea fossils have been found because it was a ocean.
