قم اذهب الى نينوى المدينة العظيمة و ناد عليها لانه قد صعد شرهم امامي (يون 1 : 2)
"Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me" (Jon 1 : 2)
و ليس باحد غيره الخلاص لان ليس اسم اخر تحت السماء قد اعطي بين الناس به ينبغي ان نخلص (اع 4 : 12)
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Act 4 : 12)

لانه كما كان يونان اية لاهل نينوى كذلك يكون ابن الانسان ايضا لهذا الجيل (لو 11 : 30)
"For as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also the Son of Man will be to this generation (Luk 11 : 30)

لانه كما كان يونان في بطن الحوت ثلاثة ايام و ثلاث ليال هكذا يكون ابن الانسان في قلب الارض ثلاثة ايام و ثلاث ليال. رجال نينوى سيقومون في الدين مع هذا الجيل و يدينونه لانهم تابوا بمناداة يونان و هوذا اعظم من يونان ههنا. (مت 12 : 40 – 41)
"For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. "The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah [is] here. (Mat 12 : 40 – 41)

Jonah at first was not capable for their salvation before his resurrection.

Faith is Essential for Salvation
فامن اهل نينوى بالله و نادوا بصوم و لبسوا مسوحا من كبيرهم الى صغيرهم (يون 3 : 5)
So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them (Jon 3 : 5)
فلما راى الله اعمالهم انهم رجعوا عن طريقهم الرديئة ندم الله على الشر الذي تكلم ان يصنعه بهم فلم يصنعه (يون 3 : 10)
Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it (Jon 3 : 10)

و ليتغط بمسوح الناس و البهائم و يصرخوا الى الله بشدة و يرجعوا كل واحد عن طريقه الرديئة و عن الظلم الذي في ايديهم. لعل الله يعود و يندم و يرجع عن حمو غضبه فلا نهلك. (يون 3 : 8 – 9)
But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. Who can tell [if] God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?. (Jon 3 : 8 – 9)

وحي على نينوى سفر رؤيا ناحوم الالقوشي. الرب اله غيور و منتقم الرب منتقم و ذو سخط الرب منتقم من مبغضيه و حافظ غضبه على اعدائه.

الرب بطيء الغضب و عظيم القدرة و لكنه لا يبرئ البتة الرب في الزوبعة و في العاصف طريقه و السحاب غبار رجليه. (نا 1 : 1 – 3)
The LORD [is] slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit [the wicked] The LORD has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds [are] the dust of His feet. (Nah 1 : 1 – 3)

و يمد يده على الشمال و يبيد اشور و يجعل نينوى خرابا يابسة كالقفر. فتربض في وسطها القطعان كل طوائف الحيوان القوق ايضا و القنفذ ياويان الى تيجان عمدها صوت ينعب في الكوى خراب على الاعتاب لانه قد تعرى ارزيها.
And He will stretch out His hand against the north, Destroy Assyria, And make Nineveh a desolation, As dry as the wilderness. The herds shall lie down in her midst, Every beast of the nation. Both the pelican and the bittern Shall lodge on the capitals [of] her [pillars;] Their voice shall sing in the windows; Desolation [shall be] at the threshold; For He will lay bare the cedar work.

هذه هي المدينة المبتهجة الساكنة مطمئنة القائلة في قلبها انا و ليس غيري كيف صارت خرابا مربضا للحيوان كل عابر بها يصفر و يهز يده. (صف 2 : 13 – 15)
This is the rejoicing city That dwelt securely, That said in her heart, "I [am it,] and [there is] none besides me" How has she become a desolation, A place for beasts to lie down! Everyone who passes by her Shall hiss and shake his fist. (Zeph 2 : 13 – 15)

الصوم والصلاة
Fasting and Prayer
الصوم والصلاة هما اللذان عملا بهما أهل نينوى ..
فرحمهم الله وغفر لهم خطاياهم ورفع غضبه عنهم
Fasting and prayer are those which the people of Nineveh pursued until God had mercy on them and forgave them their sins, and lifted His wrath away from them.
لماذا هلك سدوم وعمورة رغم وجود أبونا ابراهيم .. ولوط ؟!!!
Why did Sodom and Gomorrah perish despite the presence of our father Abraham and Lot? !!!
