Color CRT Monitors

  • Beam-penetration method
    • Used with random-scan monitors
    • Two layers of phosphor: red and green
    • The displayed color depends on how far the electron beam penetrates into the phosphor layers.
    • Only four colors are possible: red, green, orange, and yellow.
