UX design for accessibility

Accessibility = designing for the widest amount of people possible.

Do you wear glasses? They allow you to access the world (via sight) where you’d otherwise struggle.

Accessible design helps everyone. E.g. captions on videos can be useful for people that:

  • Are deaf/hard of hearing
  • Don’t have the language as their first language
  • Have concentration issues
  • Are in a loud environment
  • Are in a quiet environment (where they don’t want to make noise)
