PICK-UP, CONTINUED…

  • All Kindergarteners will stay close to us until we see with whom they are leaving.

  • Please make contact with your child’s teacher so we know everyone is getting home safely.

Should your child be going home a different way than usual, we MUST know by 8:30 that morning. An email BEFORE school begins would be the best way to inform us. You may also call the front office and they will give us the message.

Action Item:

Watch for an email, early next week, from your child’s teacher about how your child will be getting home from school. It is very important that we have this form before the first day of school!!!

FLAG CEREMONY: Kindergarten plans

  • On the first day of school it is a West Woods tradition to kick off the school year with the raising of the flag and reciting the pledge as a school. All classes will be gathering on the playground for this ceremony.

  • To help make things less chaotic for kinders, we ask that you stay on the playground blacktop, with your kindergartener for this ceremony. It will begin around 8:25. After the ceremony we ask you to walk your child into your classroom as the start of the kindergarten year. (Do not come into classrooms until after the ceremony).
