Our district has partnered with Daybreak Health, a school-based mental health company, to offer 1:1 teletherapy services to our students, ages 10+, with qualified clinicians. These services will be provided at no cost to families.

If a student is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, or other mental health related issues, they can get referred to this program, have an intake appointment, and get matched with a therapist based on their individual needs within 1-2 weeks. The student will meet with their therapist once/week for 50-minutes over ~12 weeks. All sessions are hosted over Zoom and can take place before, during or after school hours, during the week or even on Saturdays.

During the program, the student’s therapist will help them understand their emotions and learn new skills and strategies to manage their symptoms that they can use in class, at home, and throughout their life.

Teletherapy Program

Your mental health matters. If you’ve been feeling anxious, sad, or depressed, struggling with relationships in your life, dealing with trauma, having a hard time getting motivated or any other mental health challenges, our new teletherapy program might be a good fit for you.

We are now offering teletherapy services for our students, at no cost to you or your family. This is a 12-week program where you’ll meet one-on-one with a therapist that’s chosen specifically for you and your needs. Your therapist will work with you to understand your emotions and learn new skills to manage your symptoms.

What if I need help completing the onboarding packet?

If you do not receive an email from Daybreak, or if you need any support, please reach out to Daybreak’s Care Coordination team at carecoordinator@daybreakhealth.com or at 415-992-6155.

What happens after my child is matched with a clinician?

Once a match is made, you and your child will be informed via email and given a weekly session time. Your child will meet with their clinician weekly, over Zoom, for 50 minutes for approximately 12 weeks. During that time, the clinician will help them understand their emotions and learn new skills to help with things like anxiety, depression, organization, and more. The Daybreak clinician will also want to meet with you once per month so you can be informed of your child’s care and progress.
