My primary intention for these lists is to provide an easy resource from which you can pull “one-off” episodes for your students. However, I hope that you see these episodes as introductions to the listed podcasts and if you hear something intriguing, that you will seek out more episodes from that podcast. While these episodes connect to each month, there are many more episodes and indeed, whole shows that will connect to your content and standards. While some of these episodes are nonfiction, keep in mind that there is a whole world of fiction podcasts that can be used to practice literary elements and comprehension strategies!

Finally, if you would like to learn more about some of the ways I use podcasts in the classroom, as well as see my other monthly lists and other recommendations, check out my website at bit.ly/jeffgladetech. You can also always reach out to me directly by sending a DM on Twitter!

Welcome! I’m glad you’ve found your way to my monthly podcast list! Each month, I curate a list of episodes from some of my favorite podcasts that connect to the month in some way. As you will see, these episodes range in grade level (GL) from preschool up to 12th grade and beyond. Please keep in mind that the grade levels are just suggestions and, depending on the particular episode and your needs as an educator/parent, the levels could easily be shifted up or down.
