Why Did We Form?
As a response to the proposed Transco/Williams Garden State Expansion Project Compressor Station and the New Jersey Natural Gas Southern Reliability Link Pipeline
The more we learned about these proposals the greater our concern
We were not getting much information from regulators and elected officials
In fact, we learned we are always the last to know anything and often that knowledge came too late for us to have an impact on the outcome of events
Our collective voices are more effective

What We’ve Done
Intervened with the FERC both as individuals and as POP
Attended BPU Hearings, Township Committee Meetings, Board of Chosen Freeholder Meetings and State Legislative Hearings
Met with elected officials and/or their staff
Held rallies/protests and fundraisers
Pushed for (and gotten) Public Hearings on Water Quality Permits.
Encouraged local municipalities to fight these projects
Joined forces with others along the route from Pennsylvania to Manchester, NJ

What More Can We Do?
Continue to push the NJDEP to deny the �Permits needed for each project and bring suit if they refuse
Write to our elected representatives as well as Letters to the Editor of any and all outlets
Connect with others across the state and nationwide who are concerned with the proliferation of fossil fuels, especially those obtained through extreme extraction techniques
