    • Work study pilot from Provost Office�Faculty may utilize their faculty research or professional development funds to hire work study eligible students. Departmental work study budgets will NOT be required to support the appointments�

Course Assistants - Spring 2024

  • Course Assistants are paid per hour (60 minute “clock” hour)
    • Students are paid the minimum rate, currently $28.25/hr
    • Non-students are paid the minimum rate, currently $67.28/hr
  • Non-student CAs must be pre-approved by A&S Payroll before any offer is made
    • Non-students include professional adjuncts, former students, researchers�
  • The “standard” student CA compensation for Spring 2024 will be $4,277.05
    • Total pay = 15.14 weeks * 10 hours/week * $28.25/hr = $4,277.05
    • Spring break is excluded from the “standard” CA compensation amount
    • “Non-standard” CA appointments must be pre-approved by A&S Payroll
    • 10 hours/week is a maximum not an average
