Purpose of Calibration

Preparing for Protocol: PRESENTER

Gather evidence of your task and format that is easy to share:

    • the task itself
    • rubric
    • Students work samples (anonymized to maintain privacy) from 3 - 4 students who represent a range of learners

Reflect on your task:

    • Is there a particular aspect of my product that may need an explicit “voice over” for others to be able to best provide feedback?
    • Are there specific questions I would like to ask the team?

Create tools for participants:

Preparing for Protocol: FACILITATOR

  • Collaborate with presenter to schedule a 90-minute session for the team
  • Ensure that the presenter has gathered the needed materials and is ready to share at the start of the session.
  • Serve as a proofreader to ensure student work had been anonymized and necessary tools have been created.

Mindset: Journeying Toward Alignment

8

If this is the first time we are calibrating together as a group, we can expect that we will likely not be in perfect alignment. That takes practice and time. Don’t worry — this is how we get there!

Presenter’s Role
