Step #1

Complete the following: Name, Student ID, and RLA Teacher name

Step #2

Flip to the back and circle the PE and elective courses you took this year.

ADVANCED Core Classes 

​

​

• Designed to prepare students for college-level courses such as AP (advanced placement)/Dual Credit

​

• Participation is a foundation of college readiness

​

• Coursework is created to challenge students beyond on level coursework

​

• Participants should be willing and academically prepared to participate; study skills, time management, organization

​

• Consider total course load and commitment to other activities,

both school related and extracurricular

​

• Students may exit an advanced course with parent approval within the first six week of the first semester OR they may exit at the end of the first semester

​

• Students and parents/guardians must sign the Advanced Agreement Form before being enrolled in an advanced course. This can be found on the back of your course selection sheet.

Select your core classes. Put an X in the box next to your selection.

**You may ONLY select Accelerated Math if you are currently in Accelerated Math.**

Advanced Agreement

IF you are selecting an ADVANCED course, both you and your parent must complete and sign the Junior High Accelerated/Advanced Course Agreement located on the back of the course selection form.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

ALL 7^th Grade Students MUST participate one of the following

Physical Education Electives!

• 7^th grade Boys PE
• 7^th grade Girls PE
• Boys Athletics – Football
• Girls Athletics
• Cross Country
• Dance PE
• OCPE – Off Campus P.E. – application and approval required

Boys Athletics

• Boys Athletics is for FOOTBALL players ONLY

​

• Physical is required
• Dress out daily

​

• IF you want to play basketball only, you will select Boys PE as your elective course. IF you make the team, your schedule will be changed to Athletics.

​

​

GIRLS ATHLETICS

• Girls Athletics is for Volleyball, Basketball and Track
• You must try out for volleyball or basketball, even if you don’t make the team
• Physical is required
• If you do not make a team, you will still be in the athletic period

and will participate in off season training until the next

sport season

• Dress out daily

CROSS COUNTRY

DANCE PE

• Cross Country is distance running
• ​
• This course is for students who love to RUN – you will run EVERY DAY in Cross Country.
• Physical required
• Dress out daily

• Tryouts are not required for Dance PE in 7th Grade.

​

• Emphasis will be on improving overall fitness, as well as injury prevention techniques, flexibility, appropriate audience/showmanship, balance, and awareness of time and space.

​

• Practice uniform required and you will dress out daily.

​

DANCE TEAM

• Dance Team requires an approval/tryout process. Tryouts held in spring.

​

• If you do not make the team, then you will be placed in the PE choice on your course selection sheet.

​

• Required uniform purchase, camp & summer practice, after school practice and year round performances

​

• Physical will be required if you make the team.
• Dress out daily.

Choose Electives: You will have 2 elective periods in your schedule next year.

Number 1-10 in the boxes, with #1 being your first choice and #10 being your last choice.

Fine Arts Elective

• You must take at least one Fine Arts Elective while in Junior High

• The following electives are Fine Arts:
• Band
• Choir
• Art
• Theatre
• ​
• If you did not take one of the electives above in 6th grade, you should take one in 7th grade.

​

• Fine Arts in 7th grade are:
• Band
• Choir
• Intro to Art
• 3-D Art
• Into to Theatre
• Tech Theatre
