WALT: Use information to create
Bar Graphs
What is Statistics?
Statistics is a type of maths.
Data is collected to find information about things.
The numbers that are used are called statistics.
The numbers can tell us things about large groups of people—for example, the reading level of students, or favourite sports in a class.
Last week we created Tally charts to collect some information about our class. Your task is to use the tally charts to create a bar graph to show the information that was collected.
The results of the Tally charts are over on the next page. Use the information to create your bar graphs for each of the questions.
