We had 53 trick or treaters gather their courage and explore the dark haunted hallway in the museum. We were visited by Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa, a giant chicken, witches, mummies, a dragon, aliens, many different Pokemon, and so many more! Everyone enjoyed our evil laboratory and haunted hallway. We can't wait for you to visit us again! A huge thank you to Peggy VanHoever for all her help decorating!

Thank you for coming to Night at the Museum!

Thank You Volunteers!

While the staff at CCHS works on finances, inventory, event planning, and other tasks, our volunteers pick up the routine tasks. Recently Donna Ahlin and Ann Bradach have been making sure each one of our photographs is protected in a plastic sleeve and filed in the correct place. Barb Samarzia has been finishing research requests, and Matt Freeman is researching the activities of the Cloquet Fire Department. Peggy VanHoever donated time and decorations for our Halloween event in addition to her regular time spent making displays. The History Club from Moose Lake High School came in to help us set up our Christmas decorations!

We are able to get so much more done thanks to our volunteers. We cannot thank you enough!

In November four members of the Fond du Lac Rez Historical Society and Director Klitzke traveled to Odanah, WI to search for records of children who attended the Sisters School there. For decades Ojibwe children were taken from their families at a young age and forced at attend boarding schools far away from home. The order that ran the school, the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration is actively engaged in making efforts to heal the harm from the boarding schools. Sr. Roselyn Peil helped Sharon Shuck, Mary Stauffer, Lucas Reynolds, to find records about members of their families. Thank you to the FDL RBC for providing the van and thank you to Jeff Savage for driving.
